Sonja was born in Maine, but grew up in South Carolina; she lived there for 13 years before moving back. She has an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assisting from Kennebec Valley Community College and has been with Back in Motion® since we came to the Newport/Newport area in 2017. Sonja takes great pride in having a small part in the fight against the opioid crisis by helping patients reduce their pain with conservative treatment options that don't include pain medication or surgery. She loves treating orthopedic patients, especially shoulder diagnoses, and Parkinson's Disease with the LSVT BIG program. She is also responsible for molding young minds by being a clinical instructor.

She loves spending time with family and friends and has a healthy obsession with University of Maine hockey and David Nails.
